Money Worries
We know that money is often a worry. The cost of living for essentials like food, clothes and heat seems to keep on rising, and the money coming in doesn't always keep pace.
As a charitable housing association, our income comes from rents and service charges. We use this to build and look after homes, provide services, and do things that help support residents and our wider community. We also face rising costs and when we put rents up, this money goes straight back into our work - we don't have any shareholders who benefit from this.
If you are struggling or in debt
Our Board has agreed to set aside some of our income every year to help residents who have specific or severe financial or other needs. If you are struggling, please talk to our team to see if we can help. We also have great connections with other local organisations - including the local council - and may be able to help you secure grants or contributions when you find yourself in debt. Please don't struggle with this on your own.
Financial assessments
When you move into one of our homes, we will work through a financial assessment with you to make sure that the property will be affordable for you. We may also help you to do this if you are experiencing difficulties so that you can work out a budget
Staff are so friendly and very approachable.
